RUPCO distributes limited funding to assist families with short-term rental assistance so they may remain housed or to re-house those that are homeless. Clients must meet the eligibility guidelines below. For more information, call Kim Mapes at (845) 331-2140 ext. 307 or e-mail kmapes@rupco.org

RUPCO Emergency Assistance Fund
RUPCO receives funding from the United Way of Ulster County and other sources that can be used for security deposits, one month’s rental arrears, or rental assistance. Clients requesting assistance are required to produce documentation of their hardship and show the ability to pay for their housing going forward. OWNLOAD Click here to download the Emergency-Assistance-Initial-Eligibility-Screening-Sheet. This application is a fillable PDF which you can complete online; however you must print it off, sign it and return by mail or drop off at our office at 289 Fair Street, Kingston.

¿Hablas español? Join us for our fourth "Comida y tierra" conversation (in Spanish)! As a gesture of our appreciation, we are providing free meals to all native Spanish speakers who attend this event, as they are volunteering their time to help facilitate the conversation. Support us in this effort by contributing here! Agenda 6PM - 7:30pm: Note: We are aiming to create an immersive environment where only Spanish is spoken once you walk in the door! 1. Orientation, seating (based on level) and placing meal orders 2. Standing facilitated conversation in different groups (according to level) 3. Back to seats for eating and further discussion 4. Kingston Land Trust and Kingston YMCA Farm Project announcements Everyone is welcome- this event is open to anyone! Our organizations are non-governmental and work to support the community. Our goal is to create safe and friendly environments to get to know each other and eat together. Comida y tierra is a facilitated conversation series in Spanish hosted by the Kingston Land Trust in collaboration with the Kingston YMCA Farm Project, at Latin restaurants along Broadway. This immersive experience brings together native Spanish speakers and those who are learning and want to practice Spanish over a meal (not included) to build community and discuss issues of land and food that affect our city.
