RUPCO Vice President Emma Hambright Selected for Prestigious Achieving Excellence Program

KINGSTON, NY – RUPCO is proud to announce that Emma Hambright, Vice President for Social and Human Services, has been admitted to NeighborWorks America’s prestigious Achieving Excellence Program, offered in collaboration with Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Ms. Hambright joins an elite group of 50 high-performing CEOs and senior leaders of community-serving organizations across the country selected for this 16-month leadership program. 

Achieving Excellence provides participants with a unique opportunity to tackle top organizational challenges with the support of a top-tier executive coach, a dynamic peer network, and cutting-edge leadership curriculum from Harvard University. The program equips leaders with the tools and insights necessary to enhance their impact on housing, social services, and community development. 

“I am honored to be selected for the Achieving Excellence Program,” said Ms. Hambright. “This experience will not only strengthen my leadership skills but also enhance my ability to advocate for and support the vulnerable populations RUPCO serves.” 

Ms. Hambright, a civil rights attorney, has been with RUPCO since 2021. She brings extensive expertise in state and federally funded social and human services programs, with a background in legal advocacy, community integration, fair housing, and individual rights enforcement. 

She follows in the footsteps of RUPCO’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin O’Connor, who graduated from Achieving Excellence in 2009, and Faith Moore, Senior Vice President of Housing Programs and Solutions, who completed the program in 2024.
