Applications for the Ulster County COVID-19 Rental Assistance program will be accepted starting June 2, 2020 at RUPCO.org. Look for the application link on all of our social media channels as well here on our website on June 2nd.
The Ulster County COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program provides emergency rental assistance payment(s) for up to three (3) months for a maximum of $3,000. This program is available for low income renters directly impacted, who have experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19. Currently ONLY Ulster County residents OUTSIDE of the City of Kingston* are eligible to apply. Check back here soon for the City of Kingston Resident Rental Assistance Program*.
Households with lower incomes will receive priority for assistance. The deadline is Friday, June 12, 2020 at 2 pm. RUPCO as the administrator of this program on behalf of Ulster County, will conduct a lottery that will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 to determine who will receive assistance.
The City of Kingston has received a direct allocation of similar funds and therefore these County funds can only be utilized outside the City within Ulster County. However, RUPCO has applied for funding to assist City of Kingston residents. When and if those funds are secured, RUPCO will open another application and lottery for renters in the City of Kingston.
Household Income Information:
Households earning 60% AMI or less will be considered first.
