“Japan’s Festival to the world” is a Japanese tradition to observe “Obon” from August 13th through 15th, the Buddhist ritual of remembering and reconnecting with ancestors and family. Around that time, community members throughout Japan get together to celebrate “Obon” by dancing for “Bon-Odori”. Stop in for a Bon-Odori Dance experience and great art and music at Kingston Point Beach under a mid summer night’s crescent moon on Saturday, August 4, 2017, 12 – 8 pm. This is the 8th Annual Bon-Odori Dance Festival For Peace to be held at Kingston Point Park for the second year.
