Financial Assistance for Homeowners affected by Hurricane Ida

December 6, 2021

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) will provide limited grant funding to homeowners who suffered damage due to Ida and who need to make emergency repairs in order to safely reoccupy their homes. The program is available in Counties where emergency home repair assistance is otherwise unavailable through FEMA. These include Orange, Putman, Sullivan, Ulster, and New York (Manhattan).

Eligible Homeowners:
Funds may only be used to address the damage that occurred as a direct result of Hurricane Ida. Final awards will be based on the scope of work approved by RUPCO and must be applied for after any insurance claims have been fully exhausted.

Applicants must be an income-eligible homeowner whose primary residence is in one of the targeted counties.
