Funds Available to Assist Orange County Homeowners Affected by Recent Floods

RUPCO subsidiary to administer $3 Million in recovery funds

Walden, New York —  In partnership with New York State Homes and Community Renewal, Rural Development Advisory Corporation (RDAC), RUPCO’s subsidiary in Orange County, is currently administrating funds provided by Governor Hochul to aid Orange County homeowners affected by last week’s once in 1,000-year flooding events.

Eligible homeowners could receive grants of up to $50,000 to cover the urgent repairs necessary to bring their homes into a safe and habitable condition. Improvements include repairing or replacing electrical and plumbing systems, heating systems and appliances, flooring, drywall, insulation, windows, doors, siding, and roofing. Final awards will be based on the scope of work approved by RDAC and must be applied for after any insurance claims have been fully exhausted.

Applicants must be homeowners whose primary residence is in Orange County and comply with the income limits below.
