Ida Homeowner Repair and
Reimbursement Program (IHRR)

Westchester homeowners, where you affected by the Ida floods in 2021?

 

The IHRR program is designed to support homeowners affected by Hurricane Ida, helping them repair damage, secure reimbursements for previous repairs, and install vital resiliency measures to prevent future damage. Eligible homeowners of 1-4 family homes can benefit from:

  • Repairing Hurricane Ida damage
  • Receiving reimbursements for repairs completed before June 1, 2023*
  • Adding resiliency measures like elevating mechanicals, floodproofing, flood vents, and backflow valves

*Please note: For completed repairs to qualify for reimbursement:

  • Costs must have been incurred before June 1, 2023 (e.g., contractor contract signed).
  • All repair payments must be made prior to submitting an IHRR application.

Program Eligibility:

To qualify for IHRR assistance, applicants must:

    • Own a 1-4 family home damaged by Hurricane Ida, located in Dutchess, Orange, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties (condos and cooperatives are ineligible).
    • Live in the home as a primary residence.
    • Have owned and occupied the home at the time of Hurricane Ida.
    • Meet one of the following criteria:
      • Household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the county.Westchester County Annual Household Income Limits (Gross)
