Kingston, NY — 05/29/2013 — Music, food and auction items galore are on tap at the historic Senate House in Kingston when RUPCO hosts the 11th Annual Celebrate Community dinner on June 13. The fundraiser will kick off with an hour of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6pm, followed up by a buffet dinner at 7pm. In addition to live and silent auctions, the event feature RUPCO’s signature “Dine Around Ulster” book with more than $500 worth of gift certificates from local restaurants.
Celebrate Community unfolds on the lawn of the beautiful Senate House and will be held rain or shine. A live four piece jazz band will be performing throughout the festivities. Beer and wine will also be available to attendees throughout the event. Those who participate in the live auction will have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes, such as a week’s stay in beautiful Belize, or even a week in the breathtaking country of Costa Rica. Participants in the silent auction will also have the chance to win some remarkable prizes including some great, original artwork from extremely talented Hudson Valley artists, as well as the chance to take a nice and relaxing trip to a local spa. The great prizes keep coming with the raffle, where guests will be given the chance to win one of two dining books worth upwards of $500 dollars.
RUPCO has long been a supporter of the Hudson Valley region and the proceeds for the event will go toward its mission of creating homes, supporting people and improving communities. In the past year alone, RUPCO has managed to assisted forty first time buyers and completed 53 new apartments at Woodstock Commons. RUPCO also offers a vast array of services such as property management, rental assistance, and community development through events such as Celebrate Community.
