Kingston, NY — 10/7/2013 — RUPCO will present a free seminar on Wednesday, October 9 for anyone interested in purchasing a home in Kingston. The 90 minute program will be held in the Colonial Gardens Apartments Community Room at Penn Court Senior Center in Kingston. Certified Housing Counselors from RUPCO will explain the Section 8 to Homeownership Program and grants available for income eligible buyers. They will also explain the Match Savings Programs and outline the steps potential buyers should take to find out if they are eligible for the programs available. RUPCO will then assist those who are eligible with all details from search to closing.

RUPCO is working with the City of Kingston to implement its Promoting Homeownership in Kingston program. The program will assist first time homebuyers with purchase and rehabilitation of homes within the City of Kingston limits. Subsidized by the NYS Office of Housing and Community Renewal, the program will start at 1:00 and end by 2:30. Income and mortgage-ability restrictions do apply and RUPCO will explain how they work at the seminar.
