Kingston, NY — 3/24/2014 —Ulster Savings Bank and RUPCO would like to invite the public to their “Fast Track Education for First Time Homebuyers” seminar on Saturday, April 12th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the Bank’s 1 Twin Maples Plaza, Saugerties branch.

This FREE informational seminar will provide details on the First Home Club program and other lending strategies and options for first time home buyers. Representatives from Ulster Savings Bank’s Mortgage Lending Department, Ulster Insurance Services, Inc. and RUPCO will be in attendance, along with Michael Jordan, Esq., a local attorney, and Charlet Wenzel, Principal Broker at Sophie Sirpanlis Real Estate in Lake Katrine.

The seminar will cover the many critical steps to owning your own home. Discussion topics will include the following:

How credit impacts your home purchasing power
What low interest fixed rate lending products are available for first time homebuyers
How you can maximize your savings with the First Home Club match savings program
How to shop for a home and what to look for when shopping from a local realtor
The legal aspects of purchasing a home from a local real estate attorney
The value of quality home insurance
Grants for first time homebuyers from the NYS Affordable Housing Corp. and the City of Kingston

In addition, seminar participants will receive a FREE tri-merge credit report, individual credit analysis and homebuyer education certificate.
