As 2023 comes to a close, we are able to reflect on the highs and lows that RUPCO achieved and endured. We are very appreciative of the generous support of our partners, friends, and community members.
Our theme of Building for Everyone continued, and among many things, we created 61 affordable homes and a fantastic new community hub in our new development East End II in Newburgh; our HomeOwnership Center assisted 40 households in achieving their dream of owning a home; 2,027 of our most vulnerable Ulster and Greene County households received rental assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher Program; 221 of our Orange County neighbors affected by flooding received home repairs; and 59 households obtained assistance with back rent, security deposits and other emergency needs. And sadly, RUPCO also experienced the tragic loss of one of our own.
RUPCO’s mission is to create homes, support people, and improve communities, and we can’t do it without you. The growing housing crisis is boundless, not limited to certain zip codes, and far too many people in our communities struggle to experience the comfort of home.
Join us in making real change in 2024 by investing in people, homes and community! Your support allows us to continue to provide safe, affordable, and quality housing. Making home a reality for even one person changes the course of many lives. Imagine what we can do together to impact more lives in the future.
