Completed in 2018, East End I Apartments is a $15-million development that consists of 45 mixed-income apartments in 15 buildings in a 4-block radius within the second largest historic district in New York State. RUPCO restored the 19th-century traditional row homes with historic preservation and energy efficiency in mind, paying attention to architectural details and NYS EnergyStar® for Homes and LEED for Homes standards. An Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) grant award allows RUPCO to provide onsite case management services for seven residents (formerly homeless young adults ages 18-25 and veterans in need).
