Sullivan County First-Time Homebuyer Grant
In partnership with Sullivan County, RUPCO is currently administrating a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) available from the Housing Trust Fund Corporation, represented by the NYS Office of Community Renewal to assist the Sullivan County community with different housing needs.
Sullivan County was awarded $1.45 million dollars to assist with various housing funds to help their homeowners. These funds can assist low-income first-time homebuyers with down-payment and closing costs by providing grants up to $45,000 to increase their purchasing power in this tight market. In addition, grants are available to assist eligible homeowners in need of housing rehab with grants of up to $35,000 for single-family home repairs.
Finally, grants are also available to eligible property owners to replace outdated and unsafe mobile homes with new units on homeowner’s property.
All applicants must comply with the income limits below.
FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER GRANTS
Up to $45,000 is available for income eligible households for down payment, closing costs and post closing rehab.

Terms and Conditions
First-time homebuyers only. Must occupy the home as primary residence for 10 years. Must be able to secure an affordable primary loan for the balance. Funding is being provided as a soft second zero interest differed forgivable lien on the home. Single family condos and town homes eligible (manufactured homes or commercial properties are not eligible). Other program restrictions and requirements may apply.
