Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress and Michele McKeon to receive the esteemed Alice Dickinson Legacy Award

Walden, N.Y.  – The Orange County Rural Development Advisory Corporation (RDAC) is strengthening homes, people, and communities to better everyday life! They will celebrate their 2022 Legacy Dinner on September 1 at 5:30 PM at The Venue at Winding Hills, Montgomery, NY. RDAC is proud to honor Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress and Michele McKeon, Chief Operation Officer RECAP, with the esteemed Alice Dickinson Legacy Award.

“This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Alice Dickinson Legacy Award, and I could not be more enthusiastic about our venue and recipients for this year’s Legacy Dinner. Our honorees are prime examples of embodying the characteristics worthy of the award named after my mom, Alice Dickinson. It is an honor to carry on her legacy,” said Faith Moore, Executive Director of Orange County RDAC. “Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress is a not-for-profit policy, planning, advocacy, and research organization that promotes regional, balanced, and sustainable solutions that enhance the growth and vitality throughout the region. Michele McKeon has an unmatched dedication to gender violence, social justice, and anti-poverty issues with a genuine love for the community.”

The Alice Dickinson Legacy Award was established in memory of RDAC’s Co-Founder and past 29-year Executive Director. Alice prided herself on promoting, sustaining, and developing housing in Orange County. Today, RDAC continues to build on her legacy of preserving housing and enhancing community preservations and revitalization. Recipients of the Alice Dickinson Legacy Award embody her passion and devotion to RDAC’s work and the community at large. Past recipients include Larry and Ken Regan, Walden Savings Bank, Joseph Czajka, Curasi Realty, Brian Maher, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Richard J. Smith, Senator Bill Larkin, The Devitt Family of Montgomery, Orange County Citizens Foundation, Armand Assante, Blair Sebastian, Dickie Baxter, and Focus Media, Robin Heubach, Rachel & Steve Neuhaus and The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.

Tickets to the 2022 Legacy Dinner are $95 and include a cocktail hour with wine and beer, full served buffet dinner, a signature ice cream bar, and a silent auction.
